Clifton day 2

Today was a day we were going to move on, but there comes a time when you hit that wall that says REST. We did.  Arising at the crack of noon we proceeded to drive the courtesy van through the beautiful countryside, visiting various sites from historic to the state prison.  We stopped in town for a while to check out the festival and found that the music was excellent.  We finished the day by washing the exterior of the  boat, eating some homemade seafood gumbo, and discussing the loop with our new friends Terry and Marlane and Donna and Glen (Donna and Glen own a bar on the river called the Best Sand Bar - Tiki Bar and all ).
We watched the festival fireworks from our flying bridge
Tomorrow we once again find it hard to leave a place where we enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people; vowing to return some day.
