Paris Isle State Park Marina in Tennessee

What a great week we had at Green Turtle Bay Marina!  We socialized with a lot of nice people; ate well and enjoyed some fine entertainment.  We even saw lots of turtles!
Yesterday morning we met Roger and Mary, loopers from Galveston, Texas; and two looper couples last night; Ken and Pat from Burnside, Minnesota and Marc and Michelle from Galina, Illinois;  we hope to see more of them as we travel.

Today we traveled south (up!) Kentucky Lake (Tennessee River) from Kentucky into the state of Tennessee; about a 40 mile trip. Tonight we are staying in beautiful Paris Landing State Park Marina.

It was a windy day on the river;

I took a picture of our chart plotter to show our boat traveling within the old river channel.  Leaving the river channel could mean shallow water with a possibility of running aground.

Upon leaving the marina we happened to meet Melanie; she insisted on getting back into her car to drive us to the fine park restaurant! Melanie is the owner of the first class Freedom Massage and Spa in Paris Tennessee. She and her husband enjoy their houseboat in the Marina.
We have met so many interesting and generous people while on this trip!

Tomorrow we travel 30 miles to Pebble Isle Marina.
