Day 3 Green Turtle Bay Marina and Resort

Yesterday after a great breakfast at Dockers ( on the grounds ) we drove a courtesy van to Paduca outskirts to find Home Depot, Walmart, Walgreens, etc.  After doing a few boat fixits we settled down to watch a movie and called it a night.
We keep the air conditioning on day and night as we have done for much of our trip.  Because of the 90 degree heat we do our outdoor activities in the morning or evening and stay in during the afternoon.
Today is Friday and our 3rd day at the resort.
Today after breakfast at our favorite breakfast place we explored some of the Land Between the Lakes area with the help of a courtesy van.

Along the way

Patti's 1800s Settlement and Restuarant -  famous for a 2 inch thick pork chop (we ate the whole thing!)

During the 1970s the Cumberland and Tennessee rivers were dammed to create two hugh lakes, Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.  This project created a sportmans' paradise allowing water sports of all types while at the same time creating a vast park known as The Land Between The Lakes which is to be preserved in it's original state allowing only campgrounds and boat ramps.   Tonight, we will have dinner at the local Yacht Club; tomorrow Saturday we will attend a variety musical show in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.
