On the way to New Buffalo we stopped for a fillup at St Joseph and found a really nice upscale town. The town had statutes of farm animals throughout the downtown area. Many upscale homes dotted the landscape. On the way we had to cope with left over 2 to 4 foot waves coming at us from all sides; the seas settled down as we approached New Buffalo.
Ray and Susan met us at the marina doing a great job of showing us our dock and helping with the lines like professionals.
We had a great meal a local resturant where Ray Susan Jayne and I toasted our last night together; we walked through the downtown area and went back to the boat for some chores.
This is our last
Tomorrow Ray and Susan will drive back home to Barrington Illinois after spending a week with us. We will miss them.
Tomorrow Jayne and I will cruise to Chicago and stay in the Du Sable Marina for one night. We are looking forward to a short visit in our favorite city; we will stay here on Friday the 12th and then on to the Chicago River through downtown.
