Norfolk and on to Deltaville

A really busy port

Norfolk was the site of the Looper's rondevous which took place in the Sheraton Waterside.  We stayed in the Waterside Marina for the 4 days.  Arriving 2 days early we were able to experience the sites and museums of Portsmouth and Norfolk.

We had a great time attending seminars which expounded upon  the experiences yet to come.  The 300 or so people represented people on the loop, people who have completed the loop and people who are thinking about doing the loop!

We met many wonderful people and were actually sorry that the rondevous come to an end.

We moved on to Deltaville which is a small town on the Chesapeake bay.
Many of the loopers were at the same marina which enabled us to socialize and enjoy  cocktails together.

Tomorrow we head out for the island of Tangier which contains a community of people who were so isolated that they even have their own unique lifestyle and language.
