To Beaufort North Carolina

The trip took only about 4 hours.  The landscape while varied seemed to be adding more high ground as we go.

Beaufort North C. is pronounced Bofort.  It is a very old town dating to 1709; featuring a lot of old houses, many over 100years old and some as old as 300 years old and well restored.
When we registered in the marina we were given tokens for 2 free beers.  After  which we took a guided tour of several houses and one large old cemetary.
Right after we pulled in a huge boat (118ft) pulled in and then we spotted another large boat carrying a car next to the dingy!
Next we met people from two adjacent boats also doing the loop. Note the picture showing the 3 boats; one exactly like ours and one almost like ours and ours.

the picket fences kept the pigs in- honest!!
We will stay here 2 nights spending tomorrow cleaning up the boat, borrowing a courtesy car for shopping and doing a little more sight seeing.
Sunday we travel to Belhaven NC.
