Hudson River to Carlston NY

More beautiful scenery on the Hudson River!   Mountains, hills, fiords, boats, barges, tugs, freighters and loopers.   We had a good ride but warm until we got to the marina when a terrific thunderstorm hit; the winds were probably 60 miles per hour. Luckily we got docked just in time.
We have been making lots of friends, traveling with  really nice couples, and meeting new people at every stop.

Tonite we stopped at the  boat club of Carlston NY which is a member owned club.   Most of the work is done by volunteer members.  It's really a friendly fun group.
Tomorrow we will travel about 25 miles to the beginning of the erie canal, a left turn off of the Hudson river to the town of Waterford.  I will visit the local West Marine store to pick up the Canadian lake chip which I ordered for our GPS chart plotter.
