New York City!

The Atlantic today was a totally different body of water.  It was supposed to be calm and this time it was!
We looked forward to entering New York Harbour with great anticipation and we were not disappointed.

Lots of resorts on the Atlantic shore

One of many huge freighters in NY harbor

The Verazano bridge is the gateway to NYC

Manhattan Island

The Lady

Unbelievable amount of tour boats visiting her

The beautiful Hudson

Dogwood tree at the marina
Although we had seen the sites before we were still in awe of them including the Statute of Liberty which we slowly circled taking pictures as we went (emotional experience).  The skyline is even more impressive by water than on land or air, and especially in our own boat;  it seems to go on forever.   The Jersey side was also impressive with many fine buildings.  We enjoyed the trip up the Hudson with all of its beauty and interesting sites which included various places such as Yonkers and Sing Sing!  Although the trip was longer than usual today the time went fast because of the wonderful sites.  There were seven couples at the marina who loopers so of course we had to have docktails and snacks on the dock. Many of the loopers boats are really big and beautiful.  The Marina is attractive and seems like a nice place to spend two nights SO WE WILL.
