Muskegon Day 1 and 2

We were not able to reserve a dock in Grand Haven because of their crowded conditions due to their week long coast guard celebration.  This fest draws many thousand of people every year.
We went to Muskegon instead where our good friends Ray and Susan Mitterrer were waiting at the dock.  The marina has excellent facilities including an outdoor and indoor pool plus 2 hot tubs.  Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it all.
Ray and Susan had brought their car and so we had an opportunity to visit several places including Grand Haven, Muskegon, and Pentwater.  We had a lot of fun talking about everything, eating out and walking the main streets and waterfront viewing the many different styles of boats.
While in Pentwater Frank, a street musician accordionist invited me to play after Ray and Jayne told him of my being a musician.  I played a few polkas and French waltzes and everyone was happy.   Our favorite Charter Captain Ron gave us a bunch of squash;  I don't believe that he was truthful in telling us that he caught them and the cucumbers out in the lake.
Ray did a great job of driving in spite of having to follow the varied and conflicting instructions from the 3 back seat drivers.

Traffic in Grand Haven for the celebration in the Michigan town that was the capital of the Coast Guard.

Tomorrow pending the weather we will move on to South Haven; Ray in the car and Susan on the boat.
